The language that you use around scaling your business is important! In fact, it might be the difference between achieving your goals and not... I know what you are thinking, how does language have anything to do with my business?! Well, let me tell you. If you are consistently setting goals for the future while saying things like, “I’m thinking about growing my business” or “I’m trying to make more money” or even “I want to become more successful,” this way of thinking is signaling your brain to think that these goals are not attainable right now! It automatically signals that these goals are in the future and not something that you are capable of achieving right now. This applies to the way you speak to yourself and your daily thoughts… Our brains have over 70,000 thoughts a day! Most of those thoughts are unattended thoughts, so the goal is to make sure that your language and your thoughts are in alignment with one another to reach its main capacity because the language that we use is the foundation for everything that you do! Read that again – maybe even write in down in your notebook or planner! Your goal from this moment on should be to create a solid foundation focused on taking action, not planning action. So, what can you do today to start seeing growth in your business? 1) Be aware of the language you are using when it comes to growth! Take time to recognize if you have any mindset blocks or limiting beliefs 2) Refrain yourself from thinking small! Sure, create an action plan with manageable steps but don't limit yourself with your words! 3) Speak to yourself in a way that suggests the change is already happening! For example, instead of saying “I want to scale my business” start saying, “I am creating a plan to scale my business and I am ready for the next level!” If you are ready to start scaling but even those three steps feel overwhelming, schedule your Business X-Ray today to get a personalized analysis and start taking the next steps to reach your goal today!

Creating content can feel like it is a never ending task! However, I have found over the years that there are things that I can do to streamline the process and make it feel simple.
1) Get crystal clear on your message! So how do you get crystal clear on your messaging?! Every single one of my clients creates a framework of 3 Pillars that their business is based on and that they provide to their clients. This makes creating content extremely easy because they always have something to refer back to if they are out of ideas of what to talk about. Determining your 3 Pillars may not be very difficult -- if you are posting content consistently, you are likely talking about several themes regularly, you just need to package them in a cohesive manner. If you want to learn more, I recently went live to talk about the Importance of 3 Pillars in Your Business in my Facebook Group. 2) Create a List of Catchy Headings - Now that you have a your message crystal clear, consider your three pillars and brainstorm a list of topics you would like to talk about. Don't write the posts YET, just make a list of catchy headings you can refer back to. 3) Have a Plan for Getting it Written - The key to any content strategy is to be consistent. Make sure when you are deciding when and where to post, that you have the time available to create daily content. Do you send a weekly email, write a weekly blog and post daily in your Facebook Group? This is the part where many get overwhelmed but stay with me! If you are prepping materials for the following month, it means you have approximately 20 posts to create. Look back at your list of catchy headings and assign them to specific days. Spend the next 2 work weeks creating 2 of those posts per day. Some like to knock this out in one day but I find that this often leads to your content feeling forced or falling flat 4) Have a Structure for Writing Your Posts - Every single one of my Facebook Posts follows my 5 step process outlined in my Six Figure Power Hour™️ - Catchy Title, 3 Bullet Points, Call to Action. Because there is a structure, when I go to write my posts I don't have to put a ton of thought into how it will turn out and it gives me a format to clearly convey my messaging. 5) Repurpose Your Content - Constantly creating new content can be overwhelming (and not always the best use of your time!), this is why mastering repurposing your content is so important! One Facebook post can be transformed into a blog, email, IG post and a variety of other types of content with simple tweaks. This also ensures that your audience receives your message from a wide variety of sources framed in a variety of different ways, which may help them to understand and internalize the information more. Always remember, it is better to have less than perfect consistent messaging than inconsistent perfect content. Commit to getting crystal clear on your message and then start talking about it - not every post will be a slam dunk and that is ok! Last week, I told you about my Client Acquisition Blueprint and how I connect with 60 potential clients per month as a part of my Six Figure Power Hour. This week we are going to talk about the planning aspect of the Six Figure Power Hour. Sooooo... What does your morning look like?! Do you find yourself rushing from the second your feet hit the ground? What if I told you the first step in creating your Six Figure Business is taking time in the morning to slow down... yup I know you have a ton to do, but you aren't going to be successful if you are operating from a place without a plan. That is why my Six Figure Power Hour includes Journaling, Planning Your Day, and Writing Your Goals & Tracking Your $. I hear excuses from people all the time about why they can't journal... it usually sounds something like I can't journal, I never know what to write; I don't like journaling, it doesn't do anything for me; or I don't have time to journal. Guess what?! There is no right or wrong thing to write, you don't know if it does (or doesn't) do something for you unless you try and all that I ask is you journal for 15 minutes. Now that we have the excuses out of the way, let's talk about why we journal. I don't know about you but my brain is constantly filled with stuff -- ideas for programs, thoughts about what I need to get done, what is for meals that day, what is currently happening in various aspects of my relationship - the list goes on... Journaling helps to get all your thoughts out of your mind and onto paper. You might be surprised with ideas you come up with, patterns you see in your thought process, or just how ready you feel to work when your brain doesn't feel so cluttered. The key to journaling is to just write, without thinking - seriously, let go of the idea of right and wrong answers. I have three simple questions you can use each day as prompts: What can I do today that my future self will thank me for? What is on my mind? If my goals had already happened, I would... Next up is planning your day. Take 15 minutes to specifically list out what you are going to be doing and when. Make sure you have built in time to go live or post your call to action for the day. This seems simple, but so many people just hit the ground running and don't sit down to prioritize what needs to get done, which can mean you spend time spinning your wheels on things that don't matter. I am a firm believer that if you don't plan your day, than you become a victim of it. The last thing we are going to talk about is listing out your goals and tracking your dollars. This is quite possibly the simplest step BUT it has HUGE impacts on your life and your business. Every day, list out your BIG goals -- what are you working towards, what can you already visualize happening. I recommend having 3-5 goals that you list out daily (the same ones!). Also, take time to track your money daily! You can structure this however you like (either each morning track what you made the day before or save this step for the end of the day!). Don't discount things you received that have a monetary value but isn't necessarily money that hits your bank account. Ok - now you know how to complete all of the steps of my Six Figure Power Hour, you might be thinking - wow that is easy! Guess what - That is what this system is meant to be, something that you can easily add to your day, to create a consistent routine that helps you to move your business forward! Commit to it for 90 days and let me know your results - I can't wait to hear how much your business was positively impacted! OK - I am going to give you the details on the first part of my Six Figure Power Hour: my Client Acquisition Blueprint. It is the foundation of my business and how I guide my clients to having more clients than they know what to do with! I have to be honest though, it is going to sound too good to be true. You are going to think, that's it?! Every single day, I take 15 minutes to complete my Client Acquisition Blueprint. This involves connecting with 3 totally new people, following up with 2 people and prepping 1 call to action post for social media. I know what you are thinking, I told you that you would -- that's it?! Yup! Let's take a moment to look closer at each of the elements. 3 - Connect with 3 totally new people. Are you cold selling them?! NOPE Are you messaging them to let them know who you are and what you do?! NOPE You are connecting on a totally human level. Look in FB groups or on IG - find something that genuinely interests you and let them know! Don't overthink it, just engage with people as if you were out at a bar or sitting in the park watching your kids play. Be a person first. You might be surprised at where the conversation can go when you make a genuine connection. 2 - Follow-Up with 2 new people. Are you randomly messaging people you connected with and cold selling them?! NOPE Are you messaging people who you've never connected with before?! NOPE (that would be your 3 ;)) Are you jumping immediately into a conversation about who you are and what you are selling?! NOPE You are following up the same way you would if you saw someone again at the bar who you saw before or the same mom you saw a few weeks. Ask them how things are going. If you became FB friends, comment on something new you realized they have been working on. Invite them to hop on a coffee chat with you, so that you can get to know them better. Again, just let the conversation happen naturally. 1 - Prepare your Call to Action Post. Every. Single. Day. you will post 1 call to action post on your personal profile. Include a catchy title, three bullet points and a call to action at the end. Your call to action post should help people to understand more of what you can do, how you can help them, and how they can connect with you. What does that look like in action?! Head over to my Facebook profile to see, because I practice what I preach ;) Here is the bottom line: Inviting people to like your business page won't get you clients! Inviting people to your group (without a serious nurturing plan) won't get you clients! Sending friend requests like a crazy person won't get you clients! Slow down, make true connections, have coffee talks and get to know people before you try to sell them! If you do the Client Acquisition Blueprint daily, you would have connected with 15 people a week and 60 new people every month! How many of those people know other people who need your services? But they will only tell them about YOU if you take the time to get to know them too! So what is holding you back from starting?! Remember it is super easy, so no excuses! Last week we talked about 3 Ways Your Community Might Be Holding You Back from Meeting Your Goals -- this week let's talk about how they can help you reach them! 1) See the Talent Around You. Your immediate community is full of talented women who can help you in any and every aspect of your business and life (seriously!) I firmly believe that every single person in my world has something to offer. I don't need to seek out the celebrity FB ads expert, the celebrity marriage specialist, the celebrity copy writer, the celebrity sleep specialist, the celebrity organizational specialist (you know this list could go on forever right?! just insert whatever area you are currently trying to tackle!) - all I need to do is look to the amazing people in my world, the ones who the world hasn't caught up with yet! Not only that, they often provide a more personalized approach and have more of a vested interest in your success than the big names ever could. 2) Find Your Light House. It is so easy to look around and feel intimidated by the people around us. Social media consistently showcases everyone's successes and if you aren't in the right frame of mind, it can be easy to say "why not me???" As we finish off The Power of Community Month, I want to challenge this way of thinking. The people in your life who are doing everything you want to be doing, they aren't your competition, they are your light house! As soon as you start to hear the "why not me??" question in your head, reframe it to an exclamation "WHY NOT ME!" because it can be you and that person is proof! 3) Allow Your Community to Support and Uplift You. Entrepreneurship has its hard days - find a community that allows you to say out loud what you are struggling with, supports you, and then pushes you to get back on track. There is something incredibly empowering about knowing there is a group of people hoping you succeed and cheering you on as you try. But here is the thing, you have to be willing to let them in, to have the honest conversations and to let them give you real feedback because that is where the magic happens. You might notice that all of these recommendations have more to do with you than your actual community and I'll tell you why - I want you to feel empowered to create a community that will support and challenge you. Entrepreneurship can be lonely but it doesn't have to be! Look around you and see all of the amazing people who are there, the friendships to be made, and the little extra that may help you reach your goals that much faster! I wanted to take a minute to tell you a little bit about what is happening behind the scenes in Six Figure Society™️ because it really illustrates the power of community and having a quality support network. Some of the ladies have been reaching their goal of 10k months in as little as 4 weeks - which is super crazy and I am so honored to be a part of their journey! Like we all do business together - they hire me as their coach but they also all work together. Entrepreneurship can be lonely, especially in a COVID world where we have lost the vast majority of our in person support mechanisms. It is hard not to have people to talk to about your big goals, the strategies you will use to achieve them and all the little nuances that go into being an entrepreneur. Most women I talk to don't even have a partner who truly gets it -- even if they are supportive of you, if they aren't doing the same thing it can be hard to have in depth conversations. I will never say your support network can make or break you but having a support group to hold you accountable to meeting your goals and provide support and encouragement is priceless. What would it mean to you to know that you have a support system that is cheering you on from start to finish - who actually want you to be successful and will go out of their way to support you in meeting your goals. I got to watch that scenario play out within Six Figure Society, recently. We all regularly talk about our goals, steps we are taking to make our goals and how close we are to achieving them. One of the ladies was about $300 short of her $10k goal on the last day of the month. She does business with someone else in the group, who told her to go ahead and bill her the $300 because they would surely find something else for her to do to account for that amount. So she billed her the $300 and she met her $10k month goal!! Was it cheating?! No, not in my opinion. She put her goal out into the universe, she worked to get super close to it and then her relationship helped to push her over the edge to make that goal. What an amazing confidence boost for her. Now that she has done it once, she knows she can do it over and over again. You are the result of the five people you surround yourself with. Make sure that those people you are surrounded with are the right people. You want those five people to be the ones who celebrate you when you are successful, push you to be your best, encourage you and challenge you. Avoid including people who pull you down or consciously (or subconsciously) by giving you messaging that keeps you "safe." You shouldn't have to ask yourself if you network is supporting you, you should know it. Finally, find people to support you in your weakness but also challenge you in your goals. Your network needs to help you to see what your blind spots are. Look for people who ask you how they can support you (and you should do the same for them!). Also, you don't just want people in your circle to just say your did you best! You want your support network to challenge you to do more because they know you can. Your support network should never let you short change yourself or come up with excuses. Have you experienced the life changing experience of being a part of a supportive community?! If you haven't and would like to experience the magic of Six Figure Society, click here to get on the wait list. How to shortcut the know, like, and trust factor and why you should ignore the value ladder2/3/2021 Did you know it’s possible to gain clients without following the “standard” procedures of making connections? In a world of instant gratification, there isn’t time for getting to know each other and there definitely isn’t time to build trust. Lucky for you, I am going to share with you the three steps you can use to bypass the know, like, and trust factors and go directly for the relationship. The first step is go deep. On that very first call dig deep into that person’s life, don’t be afraid to get to know them on a very personal level. Sometimes the conversations can get awkward, but that’s ok; the most awkward conversations can turn into the most amazing breakthroughs! The second step is to show them what you can do for them, rather than tell them. Create a strategy, develop mindset and show them the plans to solve their problem. Allow them to see themselves in the solution. The third step is make it easy. Make it easy for your clients to sign up for your services, make it easy for them to reach you when they are in a bind. Doing so will make it easier for them to continue to sign a contract with you. Now let’s talk about the value ladder; in reality the value ladder is an old business motto that nobody has time for now a days. The value ladder tends to create layers of band-aid’s rather than going straight for the surgery. And when that first band-aid doesn’t solve the problem, do you really think they’re going to invest more? Probably not. So go for the surgery! Stop offering band-aid’s and go straight for the surgery. For those of you that are offering a service that changes lives, think of yourself as a brain surgeon, we change the way people think of themselves, we change the way people think of the world, we change their perception of what is possible for them, and that is truly what creates the transformation. So don't think of yourself as a band-aid keeper, but as a brain surgeon where you’re going to be able to change their lives forever. So go big, move fast, and watch your business go to the next level! I would like to share 3 strategies with you on how I SHOW my clients what I can do for them. I say show vs tell because people are always being told what can be done for them, rather than being shown exactly what they need. People like to see themselves in the solution so give them everything they need to picture themselves achieving their goals and experiencing success. First, it is so important to meet your clients exactly where they are on their journey. Do not have the focus of the conversation be all the things your program has to offer or that you are going to give them the newest secret to success, instead do less talking and more listening. We are all constantly surrounded by people talking at us, it is rare for individuals to really stop and listen - be the one to hear your client. When you hear them, that is where the connection will take place and then you will begin to get at the heart of what isn't working in their business. Here is the thing, the majority of coaching strategies focus on how the coach knows how to run the business better than the individual they are coaching but here is the thing, your client knows how to run their business, they are just stuck right now. Once you can really hear them and really validate their feelings, then they will feel empowered and unstuck. The second strategy is to touch on your clients current pain points in an empowering way - ask them what is hurting, how can we fix it, what have you tried. Then begin talking about aspirations and really empower your client. Talk about how it’s going to feel when they don’t have the pain anymore, talk about what will be possible, and talk about how different their lives will be. They don’t want you just as a coach, they want you to also be their cheerleader, their friend, the person that is going to be there with them through the whole thing. And last, show them what you can do for them, show them the possibilities. To do this you can show them the before and after of other clients you have helped, show them your laid-out plan, break down the trajectory and show them step 1, 2, and 3. Show them the possibilities without getting stuck on the how. Now let me just add a little something here… It is not bragging when you’re telling your clients all the great things you’ve done for others. You have a gift, you are changing lives, and you should share that with people. You can be humble and still brag about the results. And if you are ready to simplify your strategy and amplify your results, book your business x-ray session today! January is halfway over - how is that even possible?! I know what you are thinking, now it is too late for me to pick my word of the year, create my vision board or set my intentions. I am here to tell you that you are wrong -- it is never too late! I do want to challenge you to be thoughtful when selecting your word though, there is more to it than just picking something that will inspire you. It is important to select a word that will push you to action. Why?! Action translates to results, and the actions you take are going to change your life. Ok, lets start with some concrete examples - my word for 2020 was “disrupt.” By the way, feel free to blame me for all the disruption that took place in 2020. In truth, my concept for choosing disrupt was that I wanted to disrupt the way people thought about success, I wanted to disrupt the way people thought about themselves and the way they saw their business. I really wanted to disrupt the way people overcomplicate things and disrupt that pattern of thinking. There was a solid connection between the word I selected and the actions that I would take in relation to it. This means that if I was ever faced with a situation where I wasn't sure what was the right decision for me, I could ask myself "will this help me to disrupt?" This year I selected a combination of words for my word of the year - intentional balance. As I created my vision board and thought through how I wanted to focus my time and energy this year, I want to make sure that I am being intentional with my time, with my business, with my family, with my financial decisions. I also want to maintain levels of balance, ensuring that I am devoting time to all of the various parts of my life. Again, because my word(s) are associated with an action, when I face difficult times or am in the process of trying to make decisions I can ask myself whether I am being intentional and if it maintains balance in my life. Let’s go through one final example using the word “growth.” Growth is a great example of an action word. When you find yourself in that obstacle, you can come back to your word and ask yourself: will tackling this issue create growth? So I challenge you - sit down and start to think about your word for the year. What changes do you want to make to your life and your business and how can your word drive you to action. How will your word help you when times get tough and obstacles arise, because it isn't a matter of if but when! Do not choose a word that will only be inspiring - I want you to be able to default to your word so that you can change your pattern of behavior and your word can really have an effect on your life. Be mindful when choosing your word, it’s going to be your moto for the year, it’s going to be what you fall back on in the midst of your obstacle so really put some thought into it. Remember, it is never too late to take action, create results and change your life. And if you are ready to change your business, schedule your business x-ray today! Business Lessons from my sitter!
A while ago our on call sitter couldn’t watch our kids so I posted in my community FB group asking for a back up. I was immediately connected with a sweet girl who was very flexible since she was homeschooled. My kids loved her! She always brought new games from her house and played with them the whole time. The kids were so happy, she didn’t mind staying extra when needed and every single time she got home she sent me a text telling me how thankful she was and how much she loved watching our children. She would check in just for the sake of checking in! Seeing her name on my screen always made me stop and make some plans for a date night. And just last week she got us to meet her and her dog at the park for a play date because she has missed us since we moved! 🎯 She has taught me that she is always ready to step in for my highest good - even when the busyness of life clouds my priorities. 🎯 She has taught me that great marketing is not about fake promises - but about being in the forefront of your ideal clients frequent enough so when they need or want what you offer there is no doubt in their mind of whom to call. 🎯 She has taught me that you don’t have to be all things to all people. She never once asked me to clean my car, do my laundry or anything that didn’t involve my kids. If she had I would have second guessed the attention she was giving her most important job and what made her stand out from the rest - which was giving John and Julia her undivided attention. And this is the top reason why the kids LOVE her - she is never on her phone - and focused 100% on them. You might be right at that 6 figures but scaling from there might be feeling like you will have to become all things for all people. You see others who seem to have successful mastered the same skills as my amazing sitter and scaling to 7 figures in their industry and you keep chasing the next strategy only to be left feeling underwhelmed by what you see. If you are ready to get yourself out of the equation, showing your clients how you show up for THEIR highest good, stand out in your industry while staying in your zone of genius I would love to chat! I have helped clients reach multiple 6 and 7 figures by implementing the same systems that gets our sitter Katie constant booking at our house! You might be thinking that for you to make more you need to work more and there just isn’t enough hours in the day. And the reason you think that way is because becoming the CEO with a managers mindset is exhausting. CEOs work less and make more because they don’t busy themselves with all of the things. They only pull up their sleeves for things that truly move the needle. And that’s what we will do! #CEOModeOn If you are ready to take y our business to the next level, book your business x-ray today! |
