I started believing that they were ready to grow and that they were excited to hire me to help them with their next steps. I stopped with the "they are too new in the industry" drama. I stopped with the avatar BS and started focus on psychographics. Not demographics. When I had doubts about my offer I chose to believe that my offer could expand or contract depending on who I was coaching at the time. And every single time that I thought mindset was the issue - looking back I was stuck in the mindset trap and using the "I need to work on my mindset" as an excuse not to show up because visibility made me uncomfortable. I see it all the time. Clients chasing the next lead gen strategy when the missing link for them is client acquisition. They have the people in their world. They are just not seeing the potential in their own world because they keep chasing and that expands their belief in "wrong people, wrong audience, not enough eyes on my stuff" mindset. They keep self sabotaging with the "I don't want to burn out" narrative when in actuality when you do what you love - you will have to force yourself not to do more of it! And burning out is almost always fixed with a slight change in business model! And when they think that the way they coach is off - that they need more certifications, to perfect their coaching modality and that their results are not marketable enough - it's all due to their money mindset and they keep "procrastilearning" due to their inability to receive. And don't get me started with marketing! Most entrepreneurs want to set their whole business on fire with all the copy, branding and shiny object drama but what they are actually doing is just showing the world their gifts through cardboard box (the dingy ones that you have used to move over and over again) and what is needed is not to change the gift at all - just changing the packaging and adding a pretty shiny bow! ![]() One of the most interesting things I realized while coaching entrepreneurs is that 9 times out of 10, the issue that they are needing help with is not actually the issue they *believe* they need help with. They keep presenting the symptom of the real issue believing that the symptom is actually the problem. When they believe that their six figure breakdown is their audience size, it is most likely their offer. When they think that their offer is the problem, it is most likely their mindset around the offer. And when they say things like: "I need to work more on my mindset" the issue is not their mindset. Granted, mindset is non negotiable. We never actually stop working on it. But if they are stuck in what I call "the mindset trap" their issue is most likely visibility.
