![]() The reason you might still be spinning your wheels but are not making those big moves that you desire might not be what you think it is. You might be thinking that your audience size is too small, your offer is not appealing enough, or your mindset is holding you back. And all of those things might be true - but what I see happening 9 times out of 10 is that what what my clients think that the issue is and what the issue really is are very different. When I had mindset drama myself, one of my mentors called me out on it! I remember it clear as day. He said: "Your problem is not your audience - your issue is your MINDSET around your audience!" 😬😬😬 And that shifted everything. I started showing up for 20 people like they were 2000. I started believing that they were ready to grow and that they were excited to hire me to help them with their next steps. I stopped with the "they are too new in the industry" drama. I stopped with the avatar BS and started focus on psychographics. Not demographics. When I had doubts about my offer I chose to believe that my offer could expand or contract depending on who I was coaching at the time. And every single time that I thought mindset was the issue - looking back I was stuck in the mindset trap and using the "I need to work on my mindset" as an excuse not to show up because visibility made me uncomfortable. I see it all the time. Clients chasing the next lead gen strategy when the missing link for them is client acquisition. They have the people in their world. They are just not seeing the potential in their own world because they keep chasing and that expands their belief in "wrong people, wrong audience, not enough eyes on my stuff" mindset. They keep self sabotaging with the "I don't want to burn out" narrative when in actuality when you do what you love - you will have to force yourself not to do more of it! And burning out is almost always fixed with a slight change in business model! And when they think that the way they coach is off - that they need more certifications, to perfect their coaching modality and that their results are not marketable enough - it's all due to their money mindset and they keep "procrastilearning" due to their inability to receive. And don't get me started with marketing! Most entrepreneurs want to set their whole business on fire with all the copy, branding and shiny object drama but what they are actually doing is just showing the world their gifts through cardboard box (the dingy ones that you have used to move over and over again) and what is needed is not to change the gift at all - just changing the packaging and adding a pretty shiny bow! If you ready to stop spinning your wheels and make those six-figure money moves take the quiz today! ![]() One of the most interesting things I realized while coaching entrepreneurs is that 9 times out of 10, the issue that they are needing help with is not actually the issue they *believe* they need help with. They keep presenting the symptom of the real issue believing that the symptom is actually the problem. When they believe that their six figure breakdown is their audience size, it is most likely their offer. When they think that their offer is the problem, it is most likely their mindset around the offer. And when they say things like: "I need to work more on my mindset" the issue is not their mindset. Granted, mindset is non negotiable. We never actually stop working on it. But if they are stuck in what I call "the mindset trap" their issue is most likely visibility. And if they keep putting a bandaid on their symptoms their results will only be temporary. They will put themselves in that proverbial entrepreneurial roller coaster of symptom management vs focusing on the root cause which actually requires surgery. Without the scalpel, let's be clear. If you would like to know what your six figure breakdown *actually* is, I created created the Six Figures Breakdown Quiz. This quiz will help you to see exactly what you need to do in order to achieve your six-figure goal. It will break down your business goals and show you what you need to focus on in order to make them a reality. So if you're ready to get serious about achieving your six-figure goal, takes the quiz now. It's designed to help help you identify your areas of opportunity and focus on the actions that will truly move the needle for you so you can get back to your six figure goals! ![]() We have an illusion that when we make it in our business, life is going to be perfect - that our problems are going to disappear, but that isn't true at all! Grant Cardone has a quote that I love, it basically says: If you're not creating new problems for yourself, then you aren't going big enough. So in each new level you reach in business and in life you will have a new set of problems -- so what does this mean for living your vision? In your vision, you might see yourself waking without an alarm, your children will be perfectly well behaved, getting themselves ready every morning without any screaming and then you eat an amazing 5 course breakfast that someone else made for you, and then you get into your nice car to take them to school and everyone is happy and excited to be going and then you get home and you work with only the perfect clients for you and there are never any problems. Unfortunately, that isn't living your vision at all, that is striving for an unobtainable level of perfection. So what do you do, instead? To truly start living your vision, you must acclimate and align yourself to new levels of things that you didn't have before - new sets of clients, to a higher package or offer, or providing higher quality service. How do you achieve this? Through incremental upgrades -- for example, while I would love to not ever have to set foot into my kitchen ever again and have every meal I eat cooked for me, the next best thing, is to have someone pre-prepare my meals for me and freeze them, so that I can easily prepare home-cooked meals for my family. It also happens by setting clear boundaries in your life. If your vision includes being more present with your family, then you need to build in time to make that happen NOW. It isn't going to magically start happening when you hit your financial goals, so you need to create time and space for it to happen in your daily life. Whatever areas you want to have time for, be present for, or give more energy to, you need to start establishing that routine and boundaries today -- that is how you live your vision. Your vision for yourself has to be something you can truly align yourself to - it can't be based on perfection. When you attempt to align to perfection, you are actually holding yourself back from achieving your vision. Why?? because you are attempting to align to things that you can't control! ![]() The language that you use around scaling your business is important! In fact, it might be the difference between achieving your goals and not... I know what you are thinking, how does language have anything to do with my business?! Well, let me tell you. If you are consistently setting goals for the future while saying things like, “I’m thinking about growing my business” or “I’m trying to make more money” or even “I want to become more successful,” this way of thinking is signaling your brain to think that these goals are not attainable right now! It automatically signals that these goals are in the future and not something that you are capable of achieving right now. This applies to the way you speak to yourself and your daily thoughts… Our brains have over 70,000 thoughts a day! Most of those thoughts are unattended thoughts, so the goal is to make sure that your language and your thoughts are in alignment with one another to reach its main capacity because the language that we use is the foundation for everything that you do! Read that again – maybe even write in down in your notebook or planner! Your goal from this moment on should be to create a solid foundation focused on taking action, not planning action. So, what can you do today to start seeing growth in your business? 1) Be aware of the language you are using when it comes to growth! Take time to recognize if you have any mindset blocks or limiting beliefs 2) Refrain yourself from thinking small! Sure, create an action plan with manageable steps but don't limit yourself with your words! 3) Speak to yourself in a way that suggests the change is already happening! For example, instead of saying “I want to scale my business” start saying, “I am creating a plan to scale my business and I am ready for the next level!” If you are ready to start scaling but even those three steps feel overwhelming, drop a comment below or connect with me in my Facebook Group where I talk all things Mindset, Strategies, and Money! ![]() It takes Vision to Scale. That might sound elusive or vague, but what is all boils down to is that in order to obtain anything in business {or life}, it HAS to start with a vision. You can't grow your business if you don't understand the why behind it. This isn't the cliché "why are you doing what you are doing?" - it goes deeper than that. It is taking the time to really evaluate what you want from your relationships with family and friends, your personal growth, your business growth, your finances, your spiritual health, your physical health, your emotional health, your contribution to the world, and what you want to do for fun and excitement! Crafting a business built around that vision is a foolproof way to find success. I find this concept SO important, that I have created a bi-yearly Six Figure Vision Board Workshop (we have to host it bi-yearly because people reach their visions so quickly that they are ready to create a new one halfway through the year!) to help business owners do just that! So what makes my Vision Board workshop different from others? It isn't just finding images in magazines and slapping them together to create your "dream life." It is based on the principles of BE, DO, and HAVE. If you haven't been around to know what that entails, then I will quickly summarize! In order to have a vision board that creates results, it can't just be general thoughts and principles. Instead, you must create the vision of who you must be, outline what you must do, to define what it is you get to have. This method is SO successful, that I have achieved 80% of my vision board every year and my clients have done the same! My next Six Figure Vision Board Workshop is happening August 23 -27, 2021 - you can register HERE. If that time has passed, don't worry -- click the link for more information! OK - so what does vision have to do with scaling?! EVERYTHING! You can't scale without a clear vision of who you must be and what you must do, to get what you want to have. Let's start with a super simple exercise to help align your vision to your scaling. Take out a piece of paper and pen {I'll wait!} Set a timer for 5 minutes and journal on this question: How do I want to grow my business? Look back at what you just wrote down - ask yourself, did I write that because I feel like I "should" do that OR because I want to do that? If it is based on a "should" crumple up that paper and try again tomorrow. If when you review the list it feels like exactly what you want to do, start breaking the bigger picture into smaller steps - what can I do today to work towards that growth? What can I accomplish this month? Don't let the growth scare you, break it into manageable pieces. If you get nothing else from this blog, then realize that your growth {in every area} is about YOU and YOUR vision -- so take time today (or during my workshop) to figure out what that is! ![]() Success in business can sometimes feel elusive. The reality is that it is often right there in front of you, all you need to do is get out of your own way. I know what you are thinking -- what do you mean?! I am not in my own way! I work hard every single day, I am totally committed to success, and I am doing any and everything in my power to find success! Here is the thing, there are three areas where I see even the hardest working individuals struggling and it is stopping your success! 1) Let Go of Perfection! How would your day to day business (and life, really!) change if instead of striving for perfection, you did things good enough? I get it - you want to look professional. You want your messaging to be on point. You want people to perceive you as flawless. Guess what?! No one is looking for perfection! What they are looking for is someone who is relatable. Someone who understands them and what they are going through. Most likely your desire for perfection is censoring your message or at the very least it is causing you to be inconsistent because creating and launching things is so time consuming. Give yourself some grace and stop holding back your message from the world -- I promise you, someone needs to hear it (and they've been waiting!) 2) Address Your Limiting Beliefs Head On. Do you take the time to journal to really capture what it is that is holding you back?! So often I will hear from clients they have no idea why they are stuck in a certain place in their business. After asking a few questions, the answer is so obvious! They just hadn't given themselves the time to ask the tough questions to uncover the limiting belief that is keeping them stuck. This is why journaling is a part of my Six Figure Power Hour™️ - you can't move forward if you are tethered to the ground. Once you have identified your Limiting Beliefs, you need to face them head on by acknowledging that they are beliefs, not truths (seriously, find the data to back the alternative up!), then write a new belief that you will try out for the next few weeks. 3) Take Massive Action! Don't wait! Don't Overthink. JUST GO! Want to launch a group program, start talking about it and get people registered! Seriously, you can figure out the details faster than you think you can! Debating between two courses of action, try one! If it doesn't work, try the other! The greatest amount of clarity comes from messy action, not overthinking and over planning. Nothing we do is ever set in stone, I promise! The lessons you will learn from taking massive action are priceless, get out of your own way and just do it! Business should feel easy, fun, and aligned. Embracing these three steps makes that possible - Don't waste anymore time on perfection, limiting beliefs and inaction, you deserve to love what you do and to be successful! ![]() If you've been reading my blog over the last few months, you've hear me talk quite a bit about the Minimum Viable Awesome (MVA) aka the Six Figure Power Hour™️. If you haven't read any of the blogs on it, the key take-away is: your business can be both simple and successful; that it doesn't have to be built on 15 hour days, in fact I have built my entire business on 15 minute increments of work; and you don't need to learn any new strategy - you just need to start taking massive action! In April I hosted my Six Figure Power Hour™️ 5 Day Challenge, where I laid out all of the various components of the power hour and explained to you why each element works to get you to a place where you are consistently booked and you are selling out programs before they even release. So why am I talking about this again so soon?! Because summer months = feeling like you don't want to work or don't have time to work. Unfortunately, if we stop working all together then when it comes time to start working again, there will be no one in the pipeline. But what if with just one hour a day you could keep things moving forward, so when the kids are back in school and the weather is colder your schedule is booked already?! You all know that I am taking the month of July off of work - we are going to be traveling all over Florida, enjoying sunshine and quality family time! My goal is to be checked out from business as much as possible BUT I know that I can commit at least an hour a day (although it will likely be less because I have already prepared content and my schedule will consist of whether we are at the beach or pool that day!) I will be spending time journaling, goal setting, and setting my intention for my business when I return to work in August. I will also still be doing my 3 & 2 from my 321 Client Acquisition Blueprint™️. I know what it is like to feel like the world is on your shoulders and you have to do ALL. THE. THINGS... in life and in business. In case you need it, I am giving you permission to just do the MVA and spend a little extra time enjoying the sunshine and your family this summer! If you are interested in learning more about MVA, check out these blogs: Six Figure Habits It's As Simple as 3, 2, 1... Set Yourself Up for Success Each Day How to Create Your Six Figure Life with One {Simple} Habit If you are ready to master the Six Figure Power Hour™️, be sure to check out my Masterclass by clicking HERE! ![]() Creating content can feel like it is a never ending task! However, I have found over the years that there are things that I can do to streamline the process and make it feel simple. 1) Get crystal clear on your message! So how do you get crystal clear on your messaging?! Every single one of my clients creates a framework of 3 Pillars that their business is based on and that they provide to their clients. This makes creating content extremely easy because they always have something to refer back to if they are out of ideas of what to talk about. Determining your 3 Pillars may not be very difficult -- if you are posting content consistently, you are likely talking about several themes regularly, you just need to package them in a cohesive manner. If you want to learn more, I recently went live to talk about the Importance of 3 Pillars in Your Business in my Facebook Group. 2) Create a List of Catchy Headings - Now that you have a your message crystal clear, consider your three pillars and brainstorm a list of topics you would like to talk about. Don't write the posts YET, just make a list of catchy headings you can refer back to. 3) Have a Plan for Getting it Written - The key to any content strategy is to be consistent. Make sure when you are deciding when and where to post, that you have the time available to create daily content. Do you send a weekly email, write a weekly blog and post daily in your Facebook Group? This is the part where many get overwhelmed but stay with me! If you are prepping materials for the following month, it means you have approximately 20 posts to create. Look back at your list of catchy headings and assign them to specific days. Spend the next 2 work weeks creating 2 of those posts per day. Some like to knock this out in one day but I find that this often leads to your content feeling forced or falling flat 4) Have a Structure for Writing Your Posts - Every single one of my Facebook Posts follows my 5 step process outlined in my Six Figure Power Hour™️ - Catchy Title, 3 Bullet Points, Call to Action. Because there is a structure, when I go to write my posts I don't have to put a ton of thought into how it will turn out and it gives me a format to clearly convey my messaging. 5) Repurpose Your Content - Constantly creating new content can be overwhelming (and not always the best use of your time!), this is why mastering repurposing your content is so important! One Facebook post can be transformed into a blog, email, IG post and a variety of other types of content with simple tweaks. This also ensures that your audience receives your message from a wide variety of sources framed in a variety of different ways, which may help them to understand and internalize the information more. Always remember, it is better to have less than perfect consistent messaging than inconsistent perfect content. Commit to getting crystal clear on your message and then start talking about it - not every post will be a slam dunk and that is ok! ![]() I was recently having a conversation with Shelly Longenecker of Dinner for a Dollar. We were talking about the disconnect between having a brand and being a brand and how we have seen that play out in the lives of those around us. Shelly said something that really stuck with me, she said: Don't be so busy having a brand that you forget to be your brand. Take a minute and ask yourself, do you have a brand or are you being the brand? When you have a brand, it is detached from you. It is not infused with your personality or your true authentic self. In contrast, when you are being your brand, it is connected to you. It is an authentic representation of who you are, what lifestyle you are living and what you value. So how do you start being the brand? 1) Make Sure You are in Alignment - Are you walking the talk? Are you doing the things you tell your clients to do? Does your real life match what you are showing on your social media feed. Newsflash: people can feel when your brand is not in alignment with your life. So if you are telling people to do something, then you need to be doing it as well. For example, I can't tell my clients that the Power Hour is nonnegotiable and needs to be done everyday but I am not doing it, what does that say about my business and my brand? It would be out of alignment. {Don't worry, I do it everyday!} 2) Being vs Doing - Remember back to my Vision Board Workshop when we talked about how you need to Be, in order to Do, so that you can Have? Too often, I see people focused on doing. If you constantly focus on doing, it will always feel hard and you will always feel like you are putting on a show. If instead you focus on being, then it is going to be effortless. You will simply be showing up as yourself. When you live your life and create a brand based on the truest version of yourself, people will be attracted to your authenticity. You need to live a life and build a brand that is truest to you, your messaging will become so powerful that you will attract people without even trying - they will be drawn to your energy and authenticity. This doesn't mean you have to live a perfect life or never struggle - you can live a perfectly imperfect life but just make sure you are showing up authentically for your audience. 3) Be clear on what you are actually selling (and it isn't what you think it is!) At the end of the day we are all selling hope! No one is actually buying the product or service you are selling, they are buying the energy of what you're selling and the hope of what you have to offer. Seriously, no matter what it is you sell, you are selling hope. If you sell houses, you are selling the hope of a better place to raise your family. If you sell cars, you are selling hope of not having to worry about your car breaking down while you are driving from point A to point B. If you sell coaching, you are selling the hope of more business, more clients, more money or alignment. Sometimes we get too caught up in the messaging and trying to show all of the various elements of our program - we give too much information about the how and it falls flat. Instead of getting caught in the weeds, focus on the end result and the hope you have to offer. You can easily see the this in action by looking at two different ways for me to sell you my programs. I could say: "Work with me and I will teach you my Power Hour and how to master your mindset." OR I can say "When you work with me, you will get to live your six figure lifestyle by working less and making more." They are both selling the same thing, but which one is more appealing to you? I promise you that taking the time to create a business where you are the brand vs you have the brand will be the best decision you ever make. It will allow you to work from a place of authenticity and ease - it won't even feel like work anymore! It will mean doing more of the things that you love and showing others that they can too! ![]() Have you celebrated you this week?! How about today?! Take a minute to think about something you've accomplished in the last few days - perhaps it was going live for the first time, getting up a little earlier than the kids to knock out something from your to do list, committing to being present during family time, making a sale, connecting with a new potential client, making time for yourself, slowing down in your business to allow time to think about what is next, doing the MVA (minimum viable awesome) consistently... I could go on and on! I have found that in general we don't celebrate enough. We are so focused on our big goal that everything else has a tendency to feel like meh. I am challenging you from this point forward to celebrate all of the steps along your journey! When you do, you are acknowledging the abundance in your life. On the flip side, when we don't celebrate we are centering ourselves in a place of lack - we aren't enough until we get to a certain point. I hate to break it to you but you won't ever create your six figure business or six figure life from a place of lack... Bottom line: If you aren't celebrating, you are doing it all wrong! Allow yourself to have fun! See the abundance around you! Practice gratitude! {It's ok to also acknowledge the hard parts of entrepreneurship... this isn't toxic positivity, I promise!} Ok - what does a celebration look like?! Its different for everyone, so I challenge you to come up with a list of ways you can spoil yourself! Some ideas to get you started: Taking an afternoon off, going on an extra long walk, treating yourself to a mani/pedi, ordering your fave coffee from the local coffee place, splurge on a new face mask, hold a dance party in your kitchen, take time for yourself and go outside and lay in a hammock to read or sleep, create an Amazon wish list and purchase items off it when you hit financial goals. It doesn't matter how you celebrate, just celebrate! |
