We have an illusion that when we make it in our business, life is going to be perfect - that our problems are going to disappear, but that isn't true at all! Grant Cardone has a quote that I love, it basically says: If you're not creating new problems for yourself, then you aren't going big enough. So in each new level you reach in business and in life you will have a new set of problems -- so what does this mean for living your vision? In your vision, you might see yourself waking without an alarm, your children will be perfectly well behaved, getting themselves ready every morning without any screaming and then you eat an amazing 5 course breakfast that someone else made for you, and then you get into your nice car to take them to school and everyone is happy and excited to be going and then you get home and you work with only the perfect clients for you and there are never any problems. Unfortunately, that isn't living your vision at all, that is striving for an unobtainable level of perfection. So what do you do, instead? To truly start living your vision, you must acclimate and align yourself to new levels of things that you didn't have before - new sets of clients, to a higher package or offer, or providing higher quality service. How do you achieve this? Through incremental upgrades -- for example, while I would love to not ever have to set foot into my kitchen ever again and have every meal I eat cooked for me, the next best thing, is to have someone pre-prepare my meals for me and freeze them, so that I can easily prepare home-cooked meals for my family. It also happens by setting clear boundaries in your life. If your vision includes being more present with your family, then you need to build in time to make that happen NOW. It isn't going to magically start happening when you hit your financial goals, so you need to create time and space for it to happen in your daily life. Whatever areas you want to have time for, be present for, or give more energy to, you need to start establishing that routine and boundaries today -- that is how you live your vision. Your vision for yourself has to be something you can truly align yourself to - it can't be based on perfection. When you attempt to align to perfection, you are actually holding yourself back from achieving your vision. Why?? because you are attempting to align to things that you can't control!

The language that you use around scaling your business is important! In fact, it might be the difference between achieving your goals and not... I know what you are thinking, how does language have anything to do with my business?! Well, let me tell you. If you are consistently setting goals for the future while saying things like, “I’m thinking about growing my business” or “I’m trying to make more money” or even “I want to become more successful,” this way of thinking is signaling your brain to think that these goals are not attainable right now! It automatically signals that these goals are in the future and not something that you are capable of achieving right now. This applies to the way you speak to yourself and your daily thoughts… Our brains have over 70,000 thoughts a day! Most of those thoughts are unattended thoughts, so the goal is to make sure that your language and your thoughts are in alignment with one another to reach its main capacity because the language that we use is the foundation for everything that you do! Read that again – maybe even write in down in your notebook or planner! Your goal from this moment on should be to create a solid foundation focused on taking action, not planning action. So, what can you do today to start seeing growth in your business? 1) Be aware of the language you are using when it comes to growth! Take time to recognize if you have any mindset blocks or limiting beliefs 2) Refrain yourself from thinking small! Sure, create an action plan with manageable steps but don't limit yourself with your words! 3) Speak to yourself in a way that suggests the change is already happening! For example, instead of saying “I want to scale my business” start saying, “I am creating a plan to scale my business and I am ready for the next level!” If you are ready to start scaling but even those three steps feel overwhelming, schedule your Business X-Ray today to get a personalized analysis and start taking the next steps to reach your goal today! It takes Vision to Scale. That might sound elusive or vague, but what is all boils down to is that in order to obtain anything in business {or life}, it HAS to start with a vision. You can't grow your business if you don't understand the why behind it. This isn't the cliché "why are you doing what you are doing?" - it goes deeper than that. It is taking the time to really evaluate what you want from your relationships with family and friends, your personal growth, your business growth, your finances, your spiritual health, your physical health, your emotional health, your contribution to the world, and what you want to do for fun and excitement! Crafting a business built around that vision is a foolproof way to find success. I find this concept SO important, that I have created a bi-yearly Six Figure Vision Board Workshop (we have to host it bi-yearly because people reach their visions so quickly that they are ready to create a new one halfway through the year!) to help business owners do just that! So what makes my Vision Board workshop different from others? It isn't just finding images in magazines and slapping them together to create your "dream life." It is based on the principles of BE, DO, and HAVE. If you haven't been around to know what that entails, then I will quickly summarize! In order to have a vision board that creates results, it can't just be general thoughts and principles. Instead, you must create the vision of who you must be, outline what you must do, to define what it is you get to have. This method is SO successful, that I have achieved 80% of my vision board every year and my clients have done the same! My next Six Figure Vision Board Workshop is happening August 23 -27, 2021 - you can register HERE. If that time has passed, don't worry -- click the link for more information! OK - so what does vision have to do with scaling?! EVERYTHING! You can't scale without a clear vision of who you must be and what you must do, to get what you want to have. Let's start with a super simple exercise to help align your vision to your scaling. Take out a piece of paper and pen {I'll wait!} Set a timer for 5 minutes and journal on this question: How do I want to grow my business? Look back at what you just wrote down - ask yourself, did I write that because I feel like I "should" do that OR because I want to do that? If it is based on a "should" crumple up that paper and try again tomorrow. If when you review the list it feels like exactly what you want to do, start breaking the bigger picture into smaller steps - what can I do today to work towards that growth? What can I accomplish this month? Don't let the growth scare you, break it into manageable pieces. If you get nothing else from this blog, then realize that your growth {in every area} is about YOU and YOUR vision -- so take time today to figure out what that is! And if you are ready to start growing your business from your vision book your Business X-Ray today! Success in business can sometimes feel elusive. The reality is that it is often right there in front of you, all you need to do is get out of your own way. I know what you are thinking -- what do you mean?! I am not in my own way! I work hard every single day, I am totally committed to success, and I am doing any and everything in my power to find success! Here is the thing, there are three areas where I see even the hardest working individuals struggling and it is stopping your success! 1) Let Go of Perfection! How would your day to day business (and life, really!) change if instead of striving for perfection, you did things good enough? I get it - you want to look professional. You want your messaging to be on point. You want people to perceive you as flawless. Guess what?! No one is looking for perfection! What they are looking for is someone who is relatable. Someone who understands them and what they are going through. Most likely your desire for perfection is censoring your message or at the very least it is causing you to be inconsistent because creating and launching things is so time consuming. Give yourself some grace and stop holding back your message from the world -- I promise you, someone needs to hear it (and they've been waiting!) 2) Address Your Limiting Beliefs Head On. Do you take the time to journal to really capture what it is that is holding you back?! So often I will hear from clients they have no idea why they are stuck in a certain place in their business. After asking a few questions, the answer is so obvious! They just hadn't given themselves the time to ask the tough questions to uncover the limiting belief that is keeping them stuck. This is why journaling is a part of my Six Figure Power Hour™️ - you can't move forward if you are tethered to the ground. Once you have identified your Limiting Beliefs, you need to face them head on by acknowledging that they are beliefs, not truths (seriously, find the data to back the alternative up!), then write a new belief that you will try out for the next few weeks. 3) Take Massive Action! Don't wait! Don't Overthink. JUST GO! Want to launch a group program, start talking about it and get people registered! Seriously, you can figure out the details faster than you think you can! Debating between two courses of action, try one! If it doesn't work, try the other! The greatest amount of clarity comes from messy action, not overthinking and over planning. Nothing we do is ever set in stone, I promise! The lessons you will learn from taking massive action are priceless, get out of your own way and just do it! Business should feel easy, fun, and aligned. Embracing these three steps makes that possible - Don't waste anymore time on perfection, limiting beliefs and inaction, you deserve to love what you do and to be successful! And if you are ready to take action but not sure what action will actually move the needle for you - book your Business X-Ray today! I was recently having a conversation with Shelly Longenecker of Dinner for a Dollar. We were talking about the disconnect between having a brand and being a brand and how we have seen that play out in the lives of those around us. Shelly said something that really stuck with me, she said: Don't be so busy having a brand that you forget to be your brand. Take a minute and ask yourself, do you have a brand or are you being the brand? When you have a brand, it is detached from you. It is not infused with your personality or your true authentic self. In contrast, when you are being your brand, it is connected to you. It is an authentic representation of who you are, what lifestyle you are living and what you value. So how do you start being the brand? 1) Make Sure You are in Alignment - Are you walking the talk? Are you doing the things you tell your clients to do? Does your real life match what you are showing on your social media feed. Newsflash: people can feel when your brand is not in alignment with your life. So if you are telling people to do something, then you need to be doing it as well. For example, I can't tell my clients that the Power Hour is nonnegotiable and needs to be done everyday but I am not doing it, what does that say about my business and my brand? It would be out of alignment. {Don't worry, I do it everyday!} 2) Being vs Doing - Remember back to my Vision Board Workshop when we talked about how you need to Be, in order to Do, so that you can Have? Too often, I see people focused on doing. If you constantly focus on doing, it will always feel hard and you will always feel like you are putting on a show. If instead you focus on being, then it is going to be effortless. You will simply be showing up as yourself. When you live your life and create a brand based on the truest version of yourself, people will be attracted to your authenticity. You need to live a life and build a brand that is truest to you, your messaging will become so powerful that you will attract people without even trying - they will be drawn to your energy and authenticity. This doesn't mean you have to live a perfect life or never struggle - you can live a perfectly imperfect life but just make sure you are showing up authentically for your audience. 3) Be clear on what you are actually selling (and it isn't what you think it is!) At the end of the day we are all selling hope! No one is actually buying the product or service you are selling, they are buying the energy of what you're selling and the hope of what you have to offer. Seriously, no matter what it is you sell, you are selling hope. If you sell houses, you are selling the hope of a better place to raise your family. If you sell cars, you are selling hope of not having to worry about your car breaking down while you are driving from point A to point B. If you sell coaching, you are selling the hope of more business, more clients, more money or alignment. Sometimes we get too caught up in the messaging and trying to show all of the various elements of our program - we give too much information about the how and it falls flat. Instead of getting caught in the weeds, focus on the end result and the hope you have to offer. You can easily see the this in action by looking at two different ways for me to sell you my programs. I could say: "Work with me and I will teach you my Power Hour and how to master your mindset." OR I can say "When you work with me, you will get to live your six figure lifestyle by working less and making more." They are both selling the same thing, but which one is more appealing to you? I promise you that taking the time to create a business where you are the brand vs you have the brand will be the best decision you ever make. It will allow you to work from a place of authenticity and ease - it won't even feel like work anymore! It will mean doing more of the things that you love and showing others that they can too! Have you celebrated you this week?! How about today?! Take a minute to think about something you've accomplished in the last few days - perhaps it was going live for the first time, getting up a little earlier than the kids to knock out something from your to do list, committing to being present during family time, making a sale, connecting with a new potential client, making time for yourself, slowing down in your business to allow time to think about what is next, doing the MVA (minimum viable awesome) consistently... I could go on and on! I have found that in general we don't celebrate enough. We are so focused on our big goal that everything else has a tendency to feel like meh. I am challenging you from this point forward to celebrate all of the steps along your journey! When you do, you are acknowledging the abundance in your life. On the flip side, when we don't celebrate we are centering ourselves in a place of lack - we aren't enough until we get to a certain point. I hate to break it to you but you won't ever create your six figure business or six figure life from a place of lack... Bottom line: If you aren't celebrating, you are doing it all wrong! Allow yourself to have fun! See the abundance around you! Practice gratitude! {It's ok to also acknowledge the hard parts of entrepreneurship... this isn't toxic positivity, I promise!} Ok - what does a celebration look like?! Its different for everyone, so I challenge you to come up with a list of ways you can spoil yourself! Some ideas to get you started: Taking an afternoon off, going on an extra long walk, treating yourself to a mani/pedi, ordering your fave coffee from the local coffee place, splurge on a new face mask, hold a dance party in your kitchen, take time for yourself and go outside and lay in a hammock to read or sleep, create an Amazon wish list and purchase items off it when you hit financial goals. It doesn't matter how you celebrate, just celebrate! One thing you will find when you work with me is that I often have a different approach than many traditional coaches. I don't ever offer a one size fits all approach to anything I do - my goal is to show you formulas that equal success but allow you to apply them in a way that works for your life and your business. As you read the following ways to optimize your business, I want you to take time to reflect on what each suggestion means for you in your own business. 1) Stand firm in the transformation you can offer - When I work with individuals I often find that they are offering both a lower cost option and a full package. When I ask why this is, many state that it is so that more people can afford it or it is the easier sale or their hope is that people will invest in that first and then see the value in the higher priced item. The issue with this situation is that someone isn't ever going to see the same result with a lower priced package as they will with your full package. I challenge you to stop selling the band aid to your clients when what they really need is surgery. I know what you are thinking, but I promise it won't mean that you will make less money - it means that you will be more focused on showing people why they need your full package. I worked with an individual once who had a small package for under $500 and a full package for $5000 - I told her to take away the $500 package and she listened. That week she sold 3 $5000 packages. Why? Because it was what people needed and she was willing to show them why. 2) Stand firm in your values - We have this illusion that when we make six figures we are going to take days off, go on vacations, be present with our families. The reality is, if we aren't willing to do it now then it isn't likely to ever happen. WHEN IS NOW! Honor your values and stand firm in your boundaries now as you build your business and it is something that you will always carry with you. Not to mention, when you don't honor your values as you are building your business you are sending the message that you are operating from a scarcity mindset. You are telling yourself, if I don't work on the weekends or spend extra time working at night then I won't be able to be successful. When you stand in your values and establish clear boundaries, you are coming from a place of abundance and acknowledging that there is enough time and you don't have to work so hard to make money. In case you need to hear it: It is OK to take weekends off, in fact I encourage it. Make time for yourself and your family - ensure that you are building a business around your life, not your life around your business. 3) Stand firm in your client experience - Your client acquisition system should never stop when you gain a client, you want the end result to be that every client is a fan. For this reason, you need to make sure that you provide your clients with exactly what they need to be successful, no matter what the experts are telling you. Don't feel pressured to have your program be a set time length because that is how your coach does it -- honor what feels good to you and allows you to best serve your clients. For example, in my line of work, we are often coached to be low touch so that we can reach more clients and make more money ourselves. That doesn't sit well with me - I want each and every one of my clients to know that I am fully invested in them and their results. While your style may not be exactly the same as mine, focus on ensuring your clients feel like they get exactly what they need from you (and more!) When we are creating six figure businesses, we forget to anchor in a six figure life. We have a misconception that when we level up our business we will level up the rest of our life, but that isn't the case. We have to be equally leveling up all aspects of our lives to experience true success. Focusing on standing firm in the transformation we offer, our values, and the client experience that feels right to us is a way to create a six figure business that honors and fits who we are as individuals and will support our six figure life now and in the future. If you would like to have my eyes on your business, book your Business X-Ray today! OK first things first - do you know what you would want your six figure life to look like?! Not the Pinterest version of it or a view from the outside into someone else's life! Take time right now and dream about what would change from your current way of living when you were living your Six Figure life? Seriously, take the time to do it, I'll wait! In fact, grab a piece of paper even and start jotting down the things that come to your mind! If you need a little help getting your thoughts flowing, here are some questions to ask: What would your house look like, what would your bed feel like, what kind of help/support would you have in place, what would your wardrobe/hair/accessories look like, how would you spend your days, would you want to travel, what other upgrades would you make? Alright, ready to start living elements of that Six Figure life right now?! Then do it! Look back at that list and determine what small incremental changes you can make today! I'm not suggesting that you put yourself into debt, but it is ok to splurge on the slightly more expensive almond milk if you like how it tastes better and you know that once you are making six figures you won't ever buy the cheap brand again! The key is to understand it doesn't have to be huge changes for you to have an energetic shift, maybe it is buying a new outfit that fits the vision of your six figure self, buying the more expensive soap to wash your hands with in your bathroom, upgrading your sheets, or going and getting a new haircut! Perhaps you have visions of having a full time nanny, while you might not be able to afford that currently perhaps you can afford someone to come to the house for 2 hours a day every day. Get creative and think outside of the box! Want to know what incremental upgrades I made first?! I thought you would never ask! My underwear drawer was first... I thought that women with matching underwear had their stuff together and I wanted to be like them. Now I tell all of my clients to level up their life, starting with their underwear drawer... LOL! Next up was our vacations. As a family we started going to the places we wanted to vs what we thought we could "afford." We also always add in a convertible when we are taking trips to the beach! Living your six figure life doesn't have to be something that is far off and elusive! You can start living your six figure life today! Of course there will be elements you have to wait on but allow yourself to start loving your life now - enjoy the process of getting to your six figure dream life. Ready to create a business that fits your life? Book your Business X-Ray Today! What if I told you that the key to having a six figure business wasn't what you thought it was... When I talk to people for the first time, they often think that having a six figure business is out of their reach because they haven't even begun to develop their branding, design their website, create their opt-in freebie, or create a picture perfect launch strategy with all the bells and whistles. But here is the thing, while all of those things are nice to have, they don't make or break your business. I have coached people to 10k months (and beyond), who still don't have all of those things! So what is a Six Figure Figure business based on?! Consistently following through on these specific habits daily: Setting your intention, planning your day, setting your goals, completing the 3-2-1 Client Attraction Blueprint, visiting your money goal, setting your belief for the day and journaling/visualizing. I know what you are thinking - I barely have time to heat up my coffee, let alone add in all of those steps! But here is the thing, with practice those steps will only take an hour or less. Not to mention on days that you just don't feel like working, if you do only those things, you will find yourself continuing to move towards success. We will spend the next few weeks talking about each of those aspects but first I want you to fully understand that success is built on consistency! The secret to my routine is YOU! You have to choose to show up for yourself and your business everyday or you aren't going to see any changes. My money mentor Denise Duffield Thomas wrote an article about her gorgeous beach front house and she said "this is the house that consistency built!" That was months ago and I am still taken by that truth. Consistency is the name of the game. Consistent messy action - consistently connecting, growing, learning, and most of all implementing. Consistency is what changes everything! My business was built on consistent 15 minutes - not consistent 15 hour days. My clients grow their business by showing up consistently. Growing their audience consistently. Working on their power hour consistently. If you are ready to start consistently showing up in your business, tune in here on the blog and in my Facebook Group all this month to learn more about each step of The Six Figure Power Hour. But if you are ready to implement right way - get your Six Figure Power Hour Today! Is your community holding you back from reaching your goals?! Let's examine three ways to easily identify that it is time to find a new community to support you! 1) Your money goals might be too big for your community. Have you ever shared a money goal to your friends and almost felt embarrassed - like "who do I think I am to have this goal?!" Be aware if you ever feel that feeling of being embarrassed, shrinking or downplaying your own game, then you probably aren't surrounded by the right community. You know how Dave Ramsey talks about wanting to buy the smallest house in a really nice neighborhood with lots of big houses -- the same theory applies here: You don't want to have the biggest goals in your community. You want to be mindful that your community supports your goals and challenges your goals. If your goals challenge them and trigger them, you might need to find a new community. 2) Your community has the hard worker mentality and thinks that your job is just too easy. You might hear their judgement about not working hard enough -- because you aren't driving through blizzards to get to work or dropping your sick kids off at daycare to put in long hours, you aren't working hard enough to make the money you are making. They may not say these things so blatantly, instead it may be offhanded comments like: You are so lucky! How do you make so much without working at all?! While this comment may seem simple enough, if you hear it enough, you may start to internalize the need to work more. In reality, you need to make the shift from being a hard worker to an aligned worker. I used to be a hard worker and I was broke. When I had my babies, I had a c-section and both times I brought my laptop with me to the hospital to get work done. I worked my entire maternity leave and at 7 weeks old both of my kids went to daycare so I could get back to the office. I was a hard worker and I was broke! So hard work does not equal making more money, no matter how much people will tell you that is the case! Aligned work may look easier but it is simply because you are operating from your zone of genius and speaking from a place of authenticity. It doesn't feel like or look like work when you are in your zone! If you feel like you have to prove you are working hard enough in your community, then it might be time to find a new community. 3) Your community tries to put you into a mold of who you used to be but that mold no longer serves you. You may hear things like: "Oh but you always used to do it this way!" or "You never thought that way before!" or "Oh you never used to get upset about this before!" Again, these statements may seem innocent enough but it is a clear indicator that your community wants you to stay the person you have always been. They aren't able to see the changes you have made or the bigger goals you are reaching for. Look for a community that is interested in learning more about the things you are now passionate about, even if it is something that is completely new to you! Surround yourself with people who challenge you to explore this new way of thinking, who push you to continue to be the best version of yourself. I want to leave you with a final thought: a rising tide raises all boats -- when you step into your full potential, you are going to give subconscious permission to everyone around you to do the same thing. Life is too short to surround yourself with people who make you feel like you need to shrink! You have worked too hard to get here, just to get here, it is time for more! I promise you, it gets better and better! |
